"One can survive everything nowadays, except death, and live down anything, except a good reputation.
-Oscar Wilde

Do you want to know what pisses me off? People. People who think that cashing in on someone's death is the right thing to do. Now, as a case in point, let's look at one of the world's most recent deaths. Michael Jackson isn't among the living anymore and it's barely been a week. What does this mean we should do? Mourn? No way! Let's go buy all of his CD's and sell them at a higher price! That's exactly what I saw one man do. And I'm sure that if one guy did it at a Target, there are Walmarts with these cretins infesting them.

The Earth is inhabited by morons, therefore we should rip them off as much as we can with MJ's departure as our luxury cruise ship to paradise. It's not bad enough that he is still being ridiculed. No, now we need to rub it in some more and make sure he knows that we don't give a shit about him.

If you can't tell, I'm being fuckin' sarcastic. I may not be the most caring person in the world, but at least I have respect. I could be as cold-hearted as McCain and still have a shred of respect for someone that's recently died. I mean Jesus Christ, people! Let the man have his funeral before you start monopolizing on it! I don't have much more to say about this, I just needed to vent.

Casting Criticism: Launch

"Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway."
~An Anonymous Optimist

While I doubt I'll become an internet phenomenon such as the Angry Video Game Nerd or the Nostalgia Critic, I'd like to extend my open arms to the blogging community and strangle them.

Yes, this is the launch of Casting Criticism, the blog where I give my opinion on worldly events and everything in between! If Obama is giving birth to a child, I'll be there! If Anna Nicole Smith rises from the grave, I'll be there! If Amelia Earheart washes up on shore alive and well, ready to spin wondrous tales of ancient cities and lost civilizations, I'll be there! No topic is too controversial, no story too bold, no ground uncovered!

Now that I've yelled at you all a bit, I'll get to writing up my first piece. To draw in a crowd and gain some attention, I'd like to focus on popular happenings first. Obama is being talked about quite a lot, let's see what we can scrounge off of him.
